Axiall Roadway Improvements Projects

CSRS was hired by Axiall Corporation to provide engineering, supervision, and project management services for the Detailed Roadway Design of Axiall’s Lake Charles South Chemicals Plant located in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The project consists of improvements and upgrades to 8 roadways throughout Calcasieu Parish scheduled for completion in two phases.

As Project Manager, CSRS is responsible for the preparation of construction documents and cost estimates for intersection improvements required to mitigate traffic impacts along state and parish roadways, for the proposed Axiall Plant Expansion in Calcasieu Parish. CSRS engineers prepare and review plans including geometric drawings, signing plans, and associated drainage improvements for necessary improvements and upgrades to major state roadways and intersections. These improvements include the addition of left turn lanes and acceleration lanes at existing state highway intersections.  Also included in the project’s scope is the determination of both existing right-of-way and required right-of-way, coordinating existing utility relocations, and determining the required section based on the design criteria, roadway classification, and traffic engineers’ recommendations.
