Recovery Program and Grants Management Services for BREC
Because of the historic flooding in South Louisiana in August 2016, East Baton Rouge Parish’s Parks and Recreation Commission (BREC) facilities and infrastructure received significant damage. BREC faced the daunting task of recovering from the disaster and bringing its recreational facilities back on-line quickly and efficiently. They selected CSRS to provide guidance through the entire disaster recovery process. From initial damage assessments, to grant preparation and administration, and program closeout, CSRS’ team is managing and providing quality control for all facets of the grant and project management process. CSRS’ single-contractor approach involves full collaboration with BREC to maintain critical communication and project status updates.
CSRS’ team provides federal grant reimbursable FEMA program technical expertise to assist BREC with the numerous and complex grants and project management tasks. CSRS uses its streamlined recovery program approach to ensure a successful recovery for the diverse components of the BREC park system consisting over 120 individual park locations, with unique features from recreation centers, wildlife conservation areas, and a specialized arboretum.
CSRS’ specific scope of services includes Program Management, Design Phase Management, Construction Phase Management, Subcontractor Management, Field Inspections, Damage Cost Estimating, Scope of Work Development, Project Controls/Scheduling, Project Reporting, QA/QC, Grant Administration Compliance, and Project Close-out.
