Matthew Martinec, AICP, serves as a Principal at CSRS, where he brings a wealth of expertise in urban and regional planning, policy development, and project implementation. Since joining CSRS in 2020 as the Planning and Government Senior Advisor, Mr. Martinec has played a pivotal role in advancing the firm’s mission, particularly in areas focused on resilience and sustainability. His ability to build capacity and forge meaningful relationships has been instrumental in expanding CSRS's client base and influence, solidifying his reputation as a leader in urban and regional planning.
Before joining CSRS, Mr. Martinec served as the Director of Planning for the City of Gretna, where he spearheaded the community’s first significant planning initiatives, rewrote land development regulations, and supported strategic public sector investments to drive long-term community resilience. A certified member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), Mr. Martinec holds degrees in economics and community and regional planning. He is committed to sustainable growth and innovation in the communities he serves.
