In partnership with the LCTCS Facilities Corporation, CSRS has launched a series of statewide meetings regarding the LCTCS Small Business Program and contracting opportunities for the ACT 360 Facilities Improvement Program. Campus representatives, contractors and subcontractors were invited to take part in informational sessions to receive an overview of the program and upcoming projects in the local area.
The LCTCS Facilities Corporation has established the LCTCS Small Business Program in an attempt to provide small businesses with the opportunity to provide goods and/or services as prime contractors or as subcontractors. This program seeks to prevent discrimination by ensuring that small, underutilized, disadvantaged businesses are informed and prepared to compete in LCTCS projects. The Facilities Corporation adopted the small, underutilized, disadvantaged businesses criteria established by the Louisiana Economic Development’s Small and Emerging Business Enterprise Program and the US DOTD DBE Program. Firms that are already registered with either of these agencies automatically qualify of meeting the criteria.
The next LCTCS Small Business Outreach Meeting is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, February 27, at the BRCC Main Campus.
Congratulations to Brian Budd and the LCTCS team for their commitment to increasing opportunities for small businesses in the ACT 360 Program!
