Ferrari and Gravois to Participate in P3 Symposium

On Tuesday, January 9, 2018, Chris Ferrari and Taylor Gravois will be a part of the Urban Land Institute's Event, P3: The Ins and Outs of Public Private Partnerships. As part of a panel discussion, Ferrari and Gravois will provide insights and first-hand experience from CSRS’ projects. A Q&A session will follow with attendees from state and local governments, private sector developers, and other stakeholders.

The event, hosted by the E.J. Ourso College of Business at LSU and the Urban Land Institute - Louisiana District, is a three-hour symposium. The symposium will focus on planning a successful Public Private Partnership or P3, the advantages and risks associated with it. Ultimately providing a deeper understanding of P3 project complexity and delivery. It will feature a keynote introduction and two panel discussions with participation and advice from public sector representatives, local advisors, attorneys, finance, and non-profit professionals.

What are 'Public-Private Partnerships'

Public-private partnerships between a government agency and private-sector company can be used to finance, build and operate projects, such as public transportation networks, parks, and convention centers. Financing a project through a public-private partnership can allow a project to be completed sooner or make it a possibility in the first place.
