Harveston Development

Harveston is a 1,400-acre master-planned community in Baton Rouge with an ultimate buildout of 1300 residential lots inspired by many classic southern towns. CSRS led the effort helping create a unique neighborhood that surrounds you with nature, retail, and lush greenspaces.

Currently, CSRS oversees the planning, designing, bidding, contracting, construction administration, and permitting processes. The design of the project includes multiple interconnected detention ponds, gravity sanitary sewer system, sanitary sewer pump station, wetland assimilation plant, curb and gutter roadways, and walking trails. The location of the development is in an area that is primarily below the 100-year base flood elevation and requires interconnected ponds to route hundreds of acres of runoff to an adjacent bayou. These conditions have required CSRS to rely on our extensive experience in hydrology, hydraulics, and flood plain fill mitigation, to provide a development design that will reduce infrastructure costs and satisfy local permitting requirements.
