The Port of Greater Baton Rouge is expanding its existing rail storage facility on

North Line Road for the addition of 132 Loading/Unloading Spots for service to

the Grön Fuels Renewable Fuels Refinery. The expansion will also include three

landing tracks for Union Pacific Rail Service to deliver 100 Car Unit Trains.

The Grön Fuels Renewable Fuels Refinery is a new $9.2 billion renewable fuels

complex in West Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana. The first phase of the project

CAPEX is projected to be in excess of $4.25 billion, creating 340 direct jobs, and

will produce 60,000 barrels per day (BPD) of renewable diesel and sustainable

aviation fuel. At full build-out, the complex would involve over $9.2 billion in total

investment and would employ upwards of 1,025 direct employees.

CSRS developed and submitted the USACE 404 Permit on behalf of the Port of

Greater Baton Rouge, including wetlands and cultural field surveys.

CSRS also acted as Owner’s Engineer for Grön Fuels to provide import export

studies of the Rail System to satisfy the facility needs for rail service, conceptual

design of topsides for the rail facility and Project/Technical oversight of the Rail

System Design Firm.
