The LCTCS 2017 Annual Conference was held September 20-22 at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel, and is the premier professional development event for Louisiana’s Community and Technical Colleges, annually attracting over 1,500 faculty, staff, administrative leaders, and vendors. The conference serves the scholars, teachers, and practitioners of the system and supports their professional development and interests in teaching, learning, and technology. For several years, CSRS has participated in the conference as a Platinum Sponsor. Ed Jenkins, Director of Program Delivery for Educational Facilities, introduced the LCTCS System President, Dr. Monty Sullivan, prior to the President’s State of the System Address. Dr. Sullivan’s address included the remarkable 1.3M sq./ft. of facilities that CSRS has managed over the past eight years and the exciting announcement which authorized the financing for five additional ACT 360 projects.
