DCCCD Breaks Ground on New Construction Sciences Facility at North Lake College in Texas


DALLAS, Texas, July 3, 2019—Dallas County Community College District’s System-Wide Technology Upgrades and CSRS have broken ground on a new facility for North Lake College’s North Campus in Coppell, Texas. The Construction Sciences building will house 30 classrooms built around laboratory space to allow students to actively participate in demonstrations. The building will include labs for sheet metal fabrication, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, welding and pipefitting.


Ed Jenkins, CSRS’ Principal & Texas Regional Director, has 21 years of project management experience in educational facilities projects. He has managed hundreds of projects through each phase of design, including construction contract administration, closeout and warranty phases. His experience also includes facility assessments, design management, master planning, detailed plan reviews and community engagement.
