On Tuesday, August 10th, the Pointe Coupee Parish Council voted unanimously to approve the Parish’s first-ever zoning map and ordinance. CSRS has worked with the Planning and Zoning Commission to develop the map and ordinance for over a year. The objective of this ordinance is to establish zoning districts, which regulate the location and use of structures, signs, water, and land areas for agriculture, trade, industry, and residential use. The approval is a significant step for the resilience and sustainability of the Parish.
